THE (RE)MAKING
OF MINNIE
After Disney found success with Minnie’s Instagram channel, they wanted to translate her Millennial mindset to an all-new short-form YouTube series. We pitched and created the “Positively Minnie” series to celebrate Minnie’s individuality and independence, positioning her character as modern and relatable with interests beyond fashion.
The social series was set up to appeal to an international audience. We provided Disney with the first episode, “Morning with Minnie”, a musical slice of life peek into her universe without the need for verbal translation. Our in-house team layered animations on IRL footage for a look that was new for these characters, and we made sure that Minnie was a fun, stand-alone individual who was true to herself as opposed to being an extension of Mickey’s world.
The series has racked up millions of views on YouTube, spreading Minnie’s positivity around the world.
