Bringing gameday to the backyard
How do you bring the College Gameday atmosphere to fans in lockdown? ESPN and The Home Depot teamed up with us to offer pandemic viewers an escape, bringing the ultimate tailgating experience to their own backyards. The College Gameday hosts participated, too — Desmond, Kirk, and Maria joined us from their own yards, interacting with viewers through split screens and VFX magic.
We held a casting call on Zoom, storyboarded and planned the shoots with the highest safety protocols, and worked with brands including Traeger, Coca Cola, Glad, Kingsford, Behr, and Google to incorporate products at a wide variety of price points. Each spot highlights a product to elevate your own backyard tailgate, in addition to The Home Depot’s capabilities for contact-free ordering and delivery.
